The Officers of the Long Island Antique Historical Arms Society
The Long Island Antique Historical Arms Society Inc. is a non-profit society that seeks to foster interest in and preservation of antique guns, swords, bayonets, accoutrements and militaria up to the end of World War II.
We were incorporated in 1958 and have been running antique arms shows since then. We currently hold three shows per year in February, September and December. Our monthly meetings are held on the other nine months. At our meetings, members bring in items for display, trade or sale. Each member receives a free raffle ticket for the three books that are offered. Free refreshments are available. At each of the monthly meetings, a display theme results in displays by members. Other members serve as judges and the winning displays are rewarded with plaques. Displays are judged on educational value, attractiveness and the rarity of the items.
Our shows are a one day event. Fridays are for dealers only. Members are invited to enter at 8:30 AM on Saturday. Members also are guests on Saturday. Many dealers from out of state set-up and offer members a chance to obtain fine additions to their collections. Members can sell or trade items from their collections.
Members are informed of meeting dates, themes and important facts through a monthly newsletter. Our regular club meetings are held the 4th Thursday of the months of January, March, April, May, June, July, August, and October. The November meeting is held on the 3rd Thursday, so not to conflict with our Thanksgiving celebration. Meetings are held at the Babylon Masonic Hall, 250 West Main St., Babylon, NY. The hall opens at 6:15 PM. for members and guests.

Dues are only $40.00 per year. Quite a bargain when you see what you get for it. If you have interest in historical arms, swords, bayonets accoutrements or militaria, this is the club for you. Visit us at our meetings in Babylon or our shows in Freeport. You will be glad you did.
